Indonesian Grape Agate
Is it agate? Not really. Grape agate is a purple aggregate of tiny quartz crystals with a spherical shape – technically it is a type of chalcedony. This particular specimen has a really unique shape and doesn’t have any attachment points, meaning it is completely covered in the purple orbs with no bare spaces where it would typically be attached to a matrix. This specimen has a very nice color and sparkle. It is a fun piece for any collector.
